The story of our Savior has been weaved into the narrative of the Bible from the Old to the New Testament, from creation to the cross. Love came down to die a death He did not deserve, so that today we might have the victorious life that we could never earn. Watch His love story for you today!
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God (John 1:1 NASB). Then the LORD God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being (Gen. 2:7, NASB).
But Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning (2 Cor. 11:3, NIV), and just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, so death spread to all men (Rom. 5:12, NASB).
Creation needed to be set free from its bondage from death and decay (Rom. 8:21, NLT), and so the Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us (John 1:14 NIV). His blood was poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins (Matt. 26:28, NASB). He poured out his soul unto death and bore the sin of many (Isa. 53:12, NASB), and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross (1 Pet. 2:24, NASB).
God made His Son, who knew no sin, to be sin on our behalf—so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him (2 Cor 5:21, NASB). Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Rom. 8:1, NKJV). For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son (Col 1:13, NLT),
All of us who were once dead in our transgressions and sins (Eph. 2:5, NASB), have been saved by God’s grace when we believed. And we can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God (Eph. 2:8, NLT).
